I was born in 1958 in Wichita Falls, Texas but
I have lived most all of my life in deep south Texas along the Texas Mexico border. I was a member of the band from 6th grade on. My main instrument was the french horn. In 10th grade I joined the High school Jazz band playing guitar. Shortly after that I started playing in a few garage bands around town. In 1976 I graduated from high school and attended what was then North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. I attended N.T.S.U. for 2 years where I studied music and business then made my way back to south Texas and attended Pan Am University where i studied computer programming. It was around this time in the early 1980's that the last and most successful band was formed that I belonged to named the Casualties. At one point we became involved in a local battle of the bands contest sponsored by a radio station. That gave us our first opportunity to do studio work. So we recorded 2 original songs. One written by me and the other by our keyboard player. Working in the studio was the most fun I think I have ever had which explains my desire to create my own project studio. Shortly after recording the songs a rift developed in the band and we disbanded. I ran sound for a few bands after that. I soon found my bride to be and began to raise a family. Soon after getting married we started attending a non denominational church in the town where we lived and with in a few years became involved in the music team. It was there I learned to play bass because no one else knew how. Within a few years my wife and I became the music leaders at that church. When my wife became pregnant with our 3rd and last child it affected her so much that we had to stand back from our rolls in that church. Several years later we decided to change churches. After a year of attending the new church I became involved with the music team playing 2nd guitar. After some time the acoustic guitar player dropped from the worship team I took his place and moved to acoustic guitar. a few years later I ended up playing bass again when the bass player had other duties to fulfill. I switched to lead guitar for a while and then back to bass. A few years back my interest was drawn back to writing and recording music. I bought my first recording computer interface and began recording my own material on my computer which this site is designed to promote. Currently I work as FOH sound man and mix down live recorded performances in church. Here you have it the quick version of my life story.
